Screenwriting Workshop – Introducing the Authors and Screenplays

On June 27, 2023 at 2:30 pm, as part of FILMFEST MÜNCHEN, the current crop of writers will introduce themselves at the University of Television and Film, where thrilling screenplays from various genres and a family drama series from the Writers’ Room will be presented. The Munich Screenwriting Workshop has been a talent factory for film, television, and series for more than 30 years. Its graduates include such notable screenwriters and novelists as Marianne Wendt (JUNI, NEUMATT), Constantin Lieb (FABIAN ODER DER GANG VOR DIE HUNDE), Peter Meister (DAS SCHWARZE QUADRAT), Julia C. Kaiser (NICHTS, WAS UNS PASSIERT); Heike Fink (OLAF JAGGER), Regine Bielefeldt (TATORT: MAGIC MOM, directed by Michaela Kezele), and, just released, the latest novel by Robert Seethaler, “Das Café ohne Namen”. This year at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN, works by three graduates of the Screenwriting Workshop are found in the New German Television Productions section and are thus also nominated for the Bernd Burgemeister Award. Franziska Buch (NACH UNS DER REST DER WELT), Lisa Rüffer as one of the writers on the series EVERYONE IS F*CKING CRAZY, and Sönke Andresen, who is continuing his collaboration with Axel Ranisch on NACKT ÜBER BERLIN.
