An elegantly crafted thriller that exposes the dark side of Mexican society, from multiple award-winning director Amat Escalante (HELI).
It's been five years since Emiliano's mother protested against the harsh treatment of workers by the mining industry -- and then disappeared without a trace. Since no help can be expected from either the police or the judiciary, Emiliano, now 20 years old, sets out on his own to investigate. A lead takes him to the summer home of the eminent Aldama family of artists. To get closer to the truth, he takes a job as a bodyguard.
