FILMMAKERS LIVE! MARY HARRON

Mary Harron, born in 1953, is a Canadian filmmaker and screenwriter. Over the years, nothing could stop Harron from pursuing her wild music journalism in the ’80s or her utopian film projects. Christian Bale once said that AMERICAN PSYCHO (2000), which along with I SHOT ANDY WARHOL (1996) helped him achieve his breakthrough, would never have happened had it not been for Mary Harron’s unwavering commitment to film. Time and again, she made the impossible happen. In a conversation with journalist Patrick Heidmann, the director will talk about her idiosyncratic career and her latest film, DALÍLAND, which will celebrate its German premiere at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN.
