AI is everywhere and impacts the everyday lives of everyone – whether they know it or not.

Within the past months, the technology has made a so-called quantum leap. Looking at the film industry, diverse applications can be found for a wide range of areas, from script writing to casting and monitoring content.

Its potential is associated with great hopes, but also massive fears:

Will its possibilities pave the way for a social and creative revolution? Will it lead to a further loss of creativity and diversity by reproducing existing discriminatory, sexist and racist stereotypes?

The panel discusses how we can get the utmost of AI, as it is surely here to stay. With regards to the film industry, we are asking: How can we set guidelines for AI that promote diversity, inclusion and equity and use it to shape a better future?

This culminates in the question: Do we need to tame AI or should we unleash the dragon?
