Welcome home

When Ben Winter returns from his stint in Afghanistan with the German army, his friends and family are surpised to find that even humanitarian deployments can wound the soul. Ben lost one of his friends in a bomb attack. Now, back home, he can't adjust to his former life. His girlfriend Tine's attempts to understand him fail, as do those of his parents and friends. Helplessly, they watch as he increasingly isolates himself. In a sudden outburst, he even beats up his friend Ivan so badly that he has to hospitalized. During an argument with Tine, when he starts to get violent with her, she moves out of their apartment... SWR
