A Stone's Throw Away
A Stone's Throw Away Jacinto Medina tends a herd of goats in the north of Mexico and he has visions he doesn't understand. One day he finds a keychain with an engraved address in Oregon, U.S.A., and sees it as a sign he must undertake a journey that will take him farther away from home than in his wildest dreams. "Sebastian Hiriart's film is far from your conventional Mexico - USA illegal-immigrant, border-crossing film. Co-written by Hiriart and Rodríguez, one of the most interesting young actors in today's Mexican cinema, its surreal narrative and dreamlike landscapes are strongly reminiscent of the classic films of Luis Buñuel's Mexican period." Andres Castillo, Miami International Film Festival
