What Do Women Do At 3:30 In The Morning?

Franzi Schwanthaler’s (Brigitte Hobmeier) world has been turned upside down. She's a single mom who works in her father's bakery in a Bavarian village and has to face the fact that a discount bakery is now luring her customers away with their cheaper products. This troubles her father (Peter Lerchbaumer) so much that he has a heart attack. Franzi’s older sister (Muriel Baumeister) arrives from Berlin to help out. Unfortunately, she is a classic know-it-all and spends all her time giving everybody “good advice”. But what is Franzi's alternative? To get a job in town and leave her father alone with all his debts? No way. She is not going to give up without a fight. Necessity being the mother of invention, Franzi comes up with an unusual idea and tries to beat the competition her way. “Globalisation” is the magic word.
