Peter, over the years, has ever so slowly evolved into a stay-at-home husband. His wife Elisabeth has a successful career in the administration of foreign aid to developing countries and is away from home a lot. So Peter runs the household and looks after the two kids, 15-year-old Robbie and 3-year-old Laura. The death of his mother doesn't do his emotional equilibrium any good and when he discovers that Elisabeth has virtually agreed to accept a two year job in Africa with the entire family in tow, Peter feels ignored and disregarded.
