I Hired a Contract Killer

When paper-pusher Henri Boulanger gets the sack from his London job, he makes a couple of inept attempts at suicide and then decides to pay a hit-man to send him to happier rubber-stamping grounds. However, it’s not long before Henri starts to discover the joys of living, thanks to a sympathetic flower-girl and a few double whiskies. Kaurismäki’s only UK film includes plenty of playful touches.
