With over 2,000 members, the Kunstverein is one of the largest institutions of its kind in Germany. With its rooms in the historic arcades of the Hofgarten, the association has not only been an essential part of the Munich art scene since its foundation in 1823, but also continuously negotiates important issues and discourses on contemporary art on an international level through its progressive public formats.
