The turquoise Isar Carpets have barely been rolled up when the cinema summer enters the next round. In cooperation with Kino am Königsplatz, organised by Kinoliebe, FILMFEST MÜNCHEN presents two extraordinary open-air events. A special highlight: UK star Charles Dance, known from the HBO fantasy series “Game Of Thrones”, in the role of Lord Tywin Lannister, will personally attend the screening of his new film “Rumours” at Königsplatz.

Charles Dance is available for interviews. If you are interested, please contact info@mm-filmpresse.de

Rumours” will be shown on Wednesday, 31 July on the large open-air screen at the cinema on Königsplatz. The absurd satire stars Charles Dance alongside Cate Blanchett and Alicia Vikander. The film premiered in Cannes.

Seven world leaders are confronted with a global crisis and wander through an impenetrable, remote forest while trying to draft a preliminary declaration. Whether gigantic brains, zombies or missing personnel: anything is possible here, except constructive co-operation.

On Thursday, 1 August, the cinema fun goes on with the Munich edition of the “Ein Land sieht einen Film” initiative. Greta Gerwig's social satire “Barbie” will be shown in over 20 open-air cinemas in Germany that evening.
