FILMTALK: STUNDE NULL? SOHRAB SHAHID SALESS AND OUTSIDERS’ PERSPECTIVES
Screening of EMPFÄNGER UNBEKANNT (1983) and discussion of the work of Sohrab Shahid Saless (1944–1998). The focus is on his critical reckoning with the Nazi era, antisemitism, and racism, which he witnessed and experienced as an Iranian immigrant in West Germany.
Welcoming remarks by Dr. Anke Hoffstein (Deputy Director, Munich Documentation Center), introduction by Daniel Asadi Faezi (program scout, Munich International Film Festival), and FilmTalk with Dr. Behrang Samsami and Prof. Daniel Wiegand (University of Zurich).
