THE DESIRE OF OTHERS - A MASTERCLASS ON DIVERSE STORYTELLING

Logline

Organizer: Creative Europe Desk Munich

What does an appropriate dramaturgy for our time look like? Stories are shaped by society and by the narratives of their time. The results of the ongoing debate on diversity, inclusion and anti-discrimination in the media industry in recent years show that, while the cast is becoming more diverse, the stories often remain the same.
What can a narrative of our pluralistic society look like, in which diversity does not only stand for representation, but for a new form of narrating marginalized perspectives?
A theoretical impulse, underpinned by examples, will provide insights into a storytelling in which diversity is used as an instrument for new stories and also new narratives.
