In the not-too-distant future, the ability to transfer one person's life span to another has fundamentally changed the world. Max and Elena lead a nearly perfect life together, but when suddenly faced with insurance claims they're unable to pay, they're robbed of their shared future and their lives are ruined.
Meet the director
Boris Kunz
Boris Kunz, born in 1979, first gained experience on the set of the crime series SOKO 5113 and won over his first small audience with no-budget comedies about unconventional Detective Maxwell. From 2004 to 2012 he studied directing at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF), where his award-winning tragicomedy DANIELS ASCHE (2010) attracted some attention. As a former student representative of the HFF, he is a co-initiator of the reception for film students at the Berlinale. His graduation film, the romantic comedy DREI STUNDEN, premiered in Hof in 2012 and received awards at a festival on the Isle of Wight and at the Mississippi International Film Festival. Boris Kunz then became a writer and dramaturgical consultant for various films and series until he and NeueSuper created the Bavarian cult satire HINDAFING, which was nominated for various television awards. Since then, he has mainly been a writer and director who focuses on series, including ACHT TAGE (Sky), LABAULE & ERBEN (SWR), and BREAKING EVEN (ZDFneo).
