Ellias Barnès is the new star of the Paris fashion scene. But he’s only on his first collection when he complains of chest pains. Is it just stress, or could it be a heart condition? Then he’s told that his father has passed away in far-off Montréal and that he must organize his father’s effects. More unpleasant surprises await.

Meet the director
Xavier Legrand
Xavier Legrand was born in Melun, France, in 1979. He studied acting at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts in Paris. He made his first short film, JUST BEFORE LOSING EVERYTHING, in 2013, which earned him a César for best short film, alongside other awards. He continued the plot of that film in CUSTODY (FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2018). His second feature film, THE SUCCESSOR, premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in 2023.
