An artfully provocative portrait of a group of devilishly normal people.
How do members of the notorious and controversial Church of Satan go about their lives? Not all that differently from anyone else. This documentary calmly observes them in sometimes more, sometimes less, ordinary situations far removed from organized religion, in which they apply excessive make-up, participate in communal rituals, and deliver baby goats.

Meet the director
Scott Cummings
Scott Cummings directed his first short film, THE HESHER, in 2006. Another short, BUFFALO JUGGALOS (2014), earned several awards, including the Grand Jury Prize at AFI Fest. His first feature film, REALM OF SATAN, premiered at Sundance in 2024. His work as a film editor includes IT FELT LIKE LOVE (FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2013), NEVER RARELY SOMETIMES ALWAYS (2020), and SPACEMAN (2024).
