197A is a perfectly normal guy — to the extent you can tell from the paper bag he wears over his head like everyone else. Distinctions? Idiosyncrasies? These aren’t welcome in Schirkoa, which is why everyone is reduced to numbers and rigid smiley faces. Things are very different in Konthaqa, a land where people are rumored to go wild.

Meet the director
Ishan Shukla
Ishan Shukla attended the 3dsense Media School in Singapore and subsequently worked in the television, film, and music video industry. His first short film, SCHIRKOA (2016), was screened at more than 120 festivals and earned several awards. His debut feature film of the same title premiered in Rotterdam in 2024. In 2020, he founded Red Cigarette Media in order to develop adult-oriented animated films, graphic novels, and video games.
