A world premiere: A panorama of martial Hollywood dreams and crazy village life.
Usually, nothing ever happens in Wiesenwalde. But now war has broken out — at least on camera, as a major series is being filmed. There is plenty of commotion behind the scenes, too. While a power outage triggers anxiety, a journalist feels he’s on to a big story, and old disputes resurface, the mayor must contend with a tank that’s been left in front of the town hall.
The world premiere will be hosted with Shanghei International Film Festival.

Meet the director
Jannis Alexander Kiefer
Jannis Alexander Kiefer studied audiovisual media at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Technology, then film directing at the Babelsberg Film University until 2023. His first-year film, COMMENTS (2018), about online hate speech, was screened at over 80 festivals and received several awards. MEETING, about working from home, earned the German Short Film Award in Gold in 2020. ANOTHER GERMAN TANK STORY is his first feature-length film.
