A world premiere: A tumultuous comedy about relationships and the parenting issues of our time.
Despite being separated, Marion and Andi aim to be the perfect parents to eleven-year-old Milan. But on a trip to Italy, Marion’s new boyfriend in tow, they discover that Milan is anything but the perfect son. As the ex-couple finally start to address the mistakes made in raising him and grow closer again, Milan falls in love.

Meet the director
Alireza Golafshan
Alireza Golafshan was born in Tehran in 1986. He and his family immigrated to Germany in 1998. He studied philosophy and art history in Hamburg prior to enrolling at the University of Television and Film Munich (HFF). After making several short films, he directed his first feature film, THE GOLDFISH, in 2019, then his second film, JGA: JASMIN. GINA. ANNA, in 2022. EVERYTHING’S FIFTY FIFTY earned him the Bavarian Film Award in 2024.
