After a night of drinking, Paul wakes up with a severe hangover and can’t remember what happened. His T-shirt is covered in blood, and a body has been found — that of his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend. Did Paul kill him in a drunken stupor? Inspector Anita Wild investigates, even though she’d rather avoid the village where she grew up.

Meet the director
Sabrina Sarabi
Sabrina Sarabi is a German-Iranian writer-director who studied theater, film, and television at the University of Utrecht and screenwriting and directing at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. Her debut film, PRÉLUDE, had its world premiere at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN in 2019. NIEMAND IST BEI DEN KÄLBERN premiered at Locarno in 2021 won an award. Sarabi’s work has been nominated three times for the German Film Award.
