CINEMERIT: KATE WINSLET
The discovery of long-forgotten photographs in an attic leads to a resurgence of interest in Lee Miller, the war correspondent and photojournalist who took them. During World War II, Miller went to France. Then, when Buchenwald and Dachau were liberated, she documented in photographs the crimes that the Nazis had committed there — a horror that would forever haunt her. Kate Winslet gives an intense performance as Lee Miller.
Oscar-winner Kate Winslet will personally introduce the European premiere of the film LEE, which she also produced. After a detailed discussion on stage, Kate Winslet will be presented with the CineMerit Award for her achievements in filmmaking.
