A world premiere: HALLO SPENCER: Let’s make a movie! Jan Böhmermann lets the puppets dance.
Twenty years after the popular children’s TV series HALLO SPENCER ended, its creator, Jakob Sesam, lives with his puppets in a crumbling discotheque. But now this final sanctuary for Spencer, Elvis, Lulu, and the other puppets is to be torn down. Sesam and his puppets have only one chance left. They must quickly raise 10 million euros to stop the bulldozers. Their idea: Let’s make a movie!

Meet the director
Timo Schierhorn
Timo Schierhorn was born in a suburb of Hamburg in 1979. From 2002 to 2009, he studied visual communication and fine arts at the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg. He lives and works in Hamburg and has been a director or editor on various film projects and more than 60 music videos. He co-founded the filmmakers’ group Auge Altona in 2011. Since then, he has worked closely with the band Deichkind on films, music videos, and costume design.
