To die for: five stories as they might play out in real life.
While Giovanna, a former opera singer, is outraged at having been declared dead, Marie-Cerise, a depressed teenager, wants to die. Too bad she’s kidnapped before she can complete her suicide attempt. Mike, a stuntman, Dolorès, a chain-smoker, and Edouard, a true-crime expert, are also forced to confront their mortality in this uproarious urban comedy.

Meet the director
Marjane Satrapi
Marjane Satrapi was born in Iran in 1969. She told her life story in the four-volume graphic novel “Persepolis”, which was published in 2000 and earned an award at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. Her debut film, PERSEPOLIS (2007), was nominated for an Oscar, two BAFTAs, and three Césars. Most recently, she directed RADIOACTIVE (2019), which starred Rosamund Pike as physicist Marie Curie.
