A feverish erotic thriller about a fateful encounter.
The guests at Motel Destino greatly value their anonymity. That’s very convenient for Heraldo, even though he’s less interested in living out his sexual fantasies than he is in hiding from a crime lord. Elias and his wife, Dayana, who run the Love Motel, give him refuge in exchange for odd jobs — particularly as the young man is very attractive.

Meet the director
Karim Aïnouz
Karim Aïnouz studied architecture in Brasília and film in New York City. His first feature film, MADAME SATÃ, about a drag queen, street fighter, and criminal, was screened at Cannes in 2002. His other films include THE INVISIBLE LIFE OF EURÍDICE GUSMÃO, which earned the CineCoPro Award at the Munich International Film Festival in 2019, and the historical drama FIREBRAND (2023), which starred Alicia Vikander and Jude Law.
