The Bayern 2 and SZ Audience Award is being presented again in 2023. In order to determine the winner more easily, we are now using a voting tool called Votemo. At the end of each screening, a QR code will be projected onto the screen. Scan this code and tell us which of the five words you see best describes how you liked the film. The QR code will also be displayed at the auditorium exit.

Not to worry: you don’t have to know right away how you wish to rate the movie. You’ll still have time to talk about it with your friends, take a bathroom break, or get some fresh air. Voting always runs for exactly one hour after the film ends.

As every year, the New German Cinema section and the Kinderfilmfest are excluded from the voting. Votes may also not be cast for films that are not celebrating a premiere (40 Years of FFMUC, Retrospective, Homage, CineMerit). Thus, in 2023, a total of 110 films are eligible for the Audience Award.
