MUBI presents Best of Filmfest
Our start to the festival! On the evening of June 28, our program team will present the highlights and insider tips of the current festival edition. But that's not all - on this evening we will also be showing an audience favorite from the recent Filmfest past:
Together with MUBI, we invite you to a free screening of Charlotte Wells' modern classic AFTERSUN at our festival center in the Amerikahaus.
In Wells' debut, Oscar-nominated Paul Mescal and newcomer Frankie Corio shine as a father-daughter duo. From the funny moments to the heartbreak of a vacation that means more with each passing moment, AFTERSUN captures a family snapshot of astonishing poignancy.
AFTERSUN wowed audiences and the expert jury at FILMFEST MÜNCHEN 2022 and won the CineVision Award for Best International Newcomer Film.
The free screening will take place on Friday, June 28 at 7:00 pm at the festival center Amerikahaus.
