For many years, content developers in Germany were happy to focus on a strong German-language market for TV and motion pictures. Today, global distribution via online platforms and competition from international productions in media libraries are placing considerable demands on narratives, dramaturgy, and the authenticity of German stories. What’s to come? How is the dramaturgy of linear television changing? And where does that leave cinema? Followed by a get-together to celebrate “20 Years of VeDRA”.
