Welcome to the highlights of the last day of the 41st Munich International Film Festival! Although the festival was slowly coming to an end, there were still some wonderful moments that are worth sharing. It's a shame that it's already over, but of course we're already looking forward to the next edition! Thanks to everyone who made it an unforgettable festival!

Jessica Lange received the CineMerit Award and thus the very first CineWave at the 41st Munich International Film Festival yesterday evening, June 30. The two-time Oscar-, three-time Emmy-, and Tony Award-winner, best known for her roles in the films “Tootsie” and “Blue Sky”, was honored with the award for her achievements in the cinematic arts.

The Munich International Film Festival is the number-one platform for German filmmaking. Its 41st edition will see the premieres of 150 films from 53 countries, with the usual large number of guests attending. Both the general public and the film industry will find much to discover here. The complete festival schedule, which includes German co-productions involving Canada, Argentina, Somalia, and India, is now online, as are all of the events and talks, which feature lots of big names in filmmaking. Tickets are expected to go on sale on Friday, June 21.

Presale starts Friday, May 31, 2024!  

Munich International Film Festival event series "An Evening with..." will transform the Deutsches Theater into one of the city's largest movie theaters this summer. From June 30 to July 2, audiences can look forward to four unforgettable events - with Checker Tobi, Jessica Lange, Natja Brunckhorst's "Two to One" and Kate Winslet. All eyes will be on exclusive film screenings, inspiring talks and glamorous CineMerit awards receptions.
